We’re currently raising £300,000 to launch Bigfoot – a weekend campaign festival that brings together the best in food, beer and music. Head over to Crowdcube to invest today and get VIP tickets, exclusive merch and equity! Capital at risk.

We headed to Left Handed Giant in St Philips, Bristol, last week with our friends Good Chemistry, New Bristol Brewery, and Wiper & True, to brew our official festival beer, the third in our BCBF IPA series.

Last year’s brew focussed on the international spirit of Bristol Craft Beer Festival, bringing Copenhagen’s Dry & Bitter together with Left Handed Giant to brew Cycle City, a deliciously juicy IPA. This year, we wanted to celebrate the collaborative nature of Bristol’s beer scene by bringing some of our oldest friends together.

After putting our heads together and coming up with a number of names (including some absolute shockers!), we put the naming process to a vote on social media. The winning name was the weirdest by far: Alphonso The Passionate Man-Goose, inspired by the fruit going into the beer.

Jammed full of Alphonso mango, passionfruit, and gooseberry, this beer will be a deliciously tropical Sour IPA, with oodles of fruit going on atop a refreshingly tart base beer. We can’t think of anything we’d rather drink in summer, and we cannot wait to get it pouring at the festival.

Alphonso The Passionate Man-Goose will launch at Redland’s Two Belly on 2nd May.
