Ahead of our very first Beer Central at 119 Digbeth, we wanted to give you all a little insight into what we have planned. Here’s 9 things to know about the festival.

The ultimate beer festival

Beer Central is the celebration of modern craft beer – it’s all about passionate brewers, great beers, and a great beer city. The whole festival is curated as the most fun way to discover new beers, meet cool breweries, and have a great time with your mates. It’s diverse, inclusive, and a whole tonne of fun

The all-in ticket

Put simply it means all your beer is included in the price of entry – you have total freedom to try any of the beers in whole the venue. It’s like being a kid in a sweet shop! You get a festival tasting glass when you arrive, and then you get stuck in. Because there are no tokens, all you have to do is enjoy the beer, talk to the brewers and enjoy the whole experience with your friends. Grab yours here: https://beercentralfestival.com/tickets/

The best breweries – no queues

We’ve worked so hard on the curation of brewers – and the UK’s and European’s finest are coming to the festival to pour alongside of the very best from around The Midlands. This a truly unique moment – so come be a part of it. There will be more taps than you can count so there are no queues. Taps on, taps off, zero hassle.

The venue

We’re stoked to be the first people in to 119 Digbeth, on 119 Floodgate Street. It’s a perfect home for us – a cool industrial space with an awesome outdoor yard, complete with Digbeth’s signature street art. It used to be an old bolt factory – so it’s cool to use it as space to celebrate a new frontier in British manufacturing – beer!

The best of Birmingham’s food scene

Make sure you bring some extra pennies for some incredible grub. The event is all about flavour and if there’s something we love even more than beer, it is food! We’ve gone out and secured what we feel are the very best chefs – so welcome Brad Carter, Purecraft, OPM and Baked in Brick. All these fellas love beer too!

Beats, rhymes and life

Beer is a drink to celebrate with – it’s the drink of the people! For us, making sure the atmosphere is bouncing is so important. We’re also hugely into our music – as are many in the industry! So we’re excited to put on incredible DJs. We’ve got Kaiser Chiefs, DJ Yoda, and a little treat on Saturday Night!

Beyond beer

If you like to mix it up, or maybe all your crew are not 100% bonafide beer geeks then our festival caters for that bit more – we’ve got wine, cider, whiskey, artisan sodas, English Fizz and also low to no alcohol beer! Plenty to enjoy and, explore, discover.

What to do in Digbeth

Digbeth is the one! Go see our buddy’s taproom round the corner at Dig Brew, check out Beer Digbeth – a cool AF little bar. Cruise the streets and arches around the Custard Factory to enjoy some the best street art in Europe, or check out Baked in Brick, Kilder or OPM for more food and beer fun.

Easy to get to

Birmingham’s main stations are quick hop, skip and jump from Beer Central – a quick 5-10 min walk will get you to Moor Street and New Street so you can make your way safely home or get into the festival nice and quick.
